The Apple Valley Arts Foundation is proud to present JD Steele & the MacPhail Community Youth Choir! On Saturday mornings, kids from all backgrounds leave their worries and differences behind to join voices and sing their hearts out - together. A program of the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, MN, the MacPhail Community Youth Choir (MCYC) welcomes all kids in grades 9-12 from throughout the Twin Cities to learn and gain confidence through music. Inclusion, friendship and hope are the cornerstones of this inspiring group, and are reflected in all the music they perform. Led by Twin Cities’ artist J.D. Steele, of the famous Steele Family, this choir is free and open to students of all skill levels and talents through the programming of the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. These energetic, young people perform many styles of music including jazz, gospel, pop and East African.
