City of Apple Valley's Mid-Winter Fest
The Apple Valley Mid-Winter Fest is a celebration of winter! The goal of having a Mid-Winter Fest in Apple Valley is twofold:
- To foster a sense of community pride and spirit among Apple Valley residents
- To make citizens aware of the winter recreational activities available in Apple Valley and give them a mid-winter boost via participation in a special winter-oriented program
The Apple Valley Mid-Winter Fest Committee feels strongly that winters are here to stay in Minnesota. We feel that the citizens of Apple Valley and neighboring communities should take advantage of this situation by participating in the winter activities that are available in our community. Rather than hide from winter, people should embrace it and all that it has to offer.
Activities include:
- Medallion Hunt -$250 prize!
- Youth Hockey Jamboree: EVHA vs AVHA
- Outdoor Ice Skating
- Children's Musical Entertainment The Jolly Pops @ 10 am
- Scouting Zone 10 am - 2 pm
- Outdoor Bonfire & FREE S'mores & Marshmallow Roasting
- Wandering Magician 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
- Inflatable Jumpers & Games 10 am - 2 pm
- Free Photo Booth 11 am - 2 pm
- Youth DR Dance Party, Contests & Prizes 11 am - 2 pm
- Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides 11 am - 2 pm
- Face Painting & Caricaturist 11 am - 2 pm
- Ice Sculpture Carving 11:15 am @ Front Entrance
- Adult Cribbage Tournament @ 2 pm
- Appearances by Klondike, the Official Mascot of Mid-Winter Fest
